Days After Having One Of His Best Games, Alfred Morris 'genuinely Happy' He's Getting Free Cheerios

"I wasn't trying to get free Cheerios, but I'm glad they're going to give me free Cheerios," he said. "Those are my favorite Cheerios. ... I'm excited about that."

Morris' rushing total in last Thursday's 38-14 win over the Washington Redskins -- his former team -- was his highest since 2013. His 27 carries were the third-highest of his career and most since he went for 200 yards and three touchdowns on 33 carries against the Cowboys during his 2012 rookie season.

The veteran running back has started the past four games in place of Ezekiel Elliott, who has two games remaining on his six-game suspension.

Morris is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. Another game is another opportunity to show he can still get it done in his late twenties.

"It's good that I can get some film out there and good for me to kind of show that I still got this, because I still do," Morris said. "Critics are always going to be out there. I really don't care what they have to say about me. Make the most of this next game because that's all that matters right now."
